Ruby provides psychological assessment and treatment services to adults.
Standard sessions are 50-minutes long, and can be offered in person or via Telehealth (phone or video).
Ruby is a registered Medicare provider. She does not see clients who are NDIS participants or under WorkCover funding, and is unable to provide legal and court-related services.
Initial appointments will involve developing a shared understanding about what has brought you to see a psychologist, and identifying some goals for treatment.
After this, appointments will begin to address your areas of concern using a range of therapeutic modalities best suited to your needs.
Ruby's standard fee for a 50-minute appointment is $245.00 (GST-free). Report writing is available at a rate of $245.00 per hour + GST.
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or Paediatrician, you will be eligible for Medicare rebates of $141.85 per session. This rebate increases once the Medicare Safety Net has been reached. You will need to get your care plan reviewed by your referrer every 4 to 6 sessions.
You are also able to use private health insurance for psychology appointments, however, cannot claim both Medicare and private rebates for the same session.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800 (for individuals aged 5-25), or call 000.
